IBDP [International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme]
The IBDP is equivalent to Grades 11 and 12 in K-12 schools and is considered worldwide to be a more promising curriculum than most other courses or qualifications of the same level. It builds rigor while also encouraging breadth. IBDP students are trained to self-managing their work which besides a demanding academic workload also requires participation in extracurriculars and research-based projects like the extended Essay and Internally assessed disciplinary projects in all subjects.
IBDP offers elective subjects in six groups and expects candidates to choose at least one from every group. The eTutorHome currently focuses on a few subjects listed below as these are the ones most commonly read. Consequently, their importance in tertiary placement has grown rapidly in recent times.
Group 1: Mainly English – at all levels
Group 2: language acquisition— a selection of foreign and vernacular languages
Group 3: Mainly Economics and Psychology
Group 4: All science subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Environmental Systems and Societies
Group 5: Mathematics – at all levels
Group 6: Art ( We do not offer help in this Group )
